Mark Austell graduated from the University of Alabama in 1975.  Upon graduation, Mark went to work for McShan Lumber Co. He worked there until the end of 1986 when he left to start Austell Forest Products Inc.    From 1987 to present, AFP, with the help of wife Cherry Austell and the Lord, has expanded from wholeselling Southern Yellow Pine to remanufacturing Yellow Pine.

    Austell Forest Products has, from the start, strived to provide customers with excellent products and service.  With the help of plant manager- Robert Montgomery, purchasing and selling- Danny Semple, and over 35 employees, our goal is to provide quality products, on time, while building long lasting relationships with our suppliers and customers.  We understand and appreciate the trust our customers place in us, and we strive to always deliver above and beyond what is expected.

     Danny Semple has handled all sales, purchasing and product development for the past 20 years. Danny is highly respected in the industry and continues to be an invaluable member of the team.

     Jake Austell has been with the company 13 years and manages the office as well as accounting.

     Chase Austell has recently joined the company after 12 years in the software industry and will focus on quality control and long term development.

    Austell Forest Products Inc. has tapped the services of Robert Montgomery as plant manager.  Robert began his career in the wood products industry in 1993 after a five year tour of duty in the U.S. Marine Corps.  He has managed lumber remanufacturing facilities, as well as, high production pallet and crating operations with dry kilns, trucking, and sales as part of his duties.
